HERD-1 is a passive, non-magnetic inline filter that drains high-energy radiation away from the signal path while leaving microwave signals essentially untouched. It delivers ultralow insertion loss in the qubit band and strong attenuation at Cooper-pair-breaking frequencies, making it suitable for readout, drive and bias lines placed close to the quantum processor.
